It was great seeing all of our players yesterday and to get the new season started. It was refreshing seeing all the new faces yesterday since both Harriton and LM have been struggling with number the past few season. The only down side is that it's going to take me a bit to learn everyone's name (I'll come around eventually). We did have a couple of injuries yesterday and I hope everyone is feeling better today and that the injuries were nothing serious. If the parents of the injured players could reach out and let me know how they are doing that would be great.
I also wanted to mention our start time of 4:45. I realize this can be a difficult start time to make on time and I don't want anyone losing sleep. I explained to the players yesterday that in a perfect world everyone would be ready by the time the Zamboni doors close. While that may be a dream, I would just ask that if anyone is running late, they give me a heads up via text or email. Yesterday was a great start and looking forward to a fun season.
